Case study 1 – Whitbread
In 2005 Roger Hughes was approached by hotel and leisure giant Whitbread to project manage the implementation of a new brand identity, which was itself part of a wider brand strategy entitled ‘One Whitbread’. The aims of this wider strategy were largely to bring together very large numbers of management working across various corporate functions and operating brands, to share a common vision for Whitbread and work together to achieve this.
Case study 2 – Stonemarket
Stonemarket is Hughes Consultancy’s longest running client with a relationship going back over six years. Part of Marshalls, Stonemarket has long been recognised for innovative and high quality landscape products, but, ahead of Roger Hughes working with them, had lacked any sort of clear brand or marketing strategy.
Case study 3 – Bill Oddie’s Bird Food Recipes
The Bill Oddie’s Bird Food Recipes retail brand was launched in 2004 by Haith’s, a long-established business largely operating in mail-order bird foods. Given Haith’s historic expertise in mail-order only, the move into a retail brand meant they needed considerable support and this is something Roger Hughes has been able to fully deliver on.
Case study 4 – Lyons Coffee
Hughes Consultancy was approached by Gala Coffee, the owner of the Lyons Coffee brand, in early 2008 to review the brand and its marketing strategy. Gala Coffee, which is part of Drie Mollen (one of the world’s leading coffee businesses), is Europe’s largest producer of own-brand coffee, with customers including Waitrose and Tesco.
